Thermal Buckling of Restrained Skew Plates

Abstract
This note considers the buckling problem of skew plates subjected to planar temperature distribution. The edges are assumed to be restrained (i.e., immovable) for in-plane movement, and simply supported for transverse deflection. The effects of geometry, different temperature distributions, and the degree of nonuniformity of temperature distribution on the critical thermal parameters is studied.
