Abstract
Acetylene reduction (a measure of biological N2 fixation) by the phytoplankton of Lake Superior, western Lake Huron and eastern Lake Michigan was barely detectable in September of 1970, but in southern Green Bay and western Lake Erie it was comparable in rate to that in eutrophic Wisconsin lakes. Keywords
