Abstract
Conioscypha lignicola was found on balsa wood submerged in the Patuxent River in Maryland, USA. Another species, C. varia, was isolated from the same substrate in the Patuxent River. Both species were cultured and their ultrastructure and conidiogenesis studied. From the arable soil of Netherlands in 1973 Van Enden found a fungus called Cylicogone regenerans. Conioscypha varia and Cylicogone regenerans are similar from the figures and morphological descriptions that were studied. Therefore Cylicogone becomes a synonym of Conioscypha. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
