STREPTOCOCCAL ANTIHYALURONIDASE TITERS IN THE SERA OF PATIENTS WITH RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS AND GLOMERULONEPHRITIS

Abstract
Streptococcal antihemolysin and antihyaluronidase have been measured in the sera of patients with rheumatoid arthritis and glomerulonephritis. The antihyaluronidase and antistreptolysin titers in the former disease were quite distinct from those in active rheumatic fever. In glomerulonephritis differences were found from the distribution in active rheumatic fever in that a number of low titers were encountered in the former. The distribution of the higher titers in glomerulonephritis was fairly similar to that found in rheumatic fever during the same yr.
