Is the lesser curvature an area especially susceptible to injury by duodenal contents?

Abstract
The lesser curvature does not appear to be an area of increased susceptibility to injury. The fact that this is the usual area for the development of chronic gastric ulceration could in part be explained by reflux of duodenal contents along the lesser curvature.Keywords
