Abstract
Found that the length of time by which knowledge of results (KR) follows a response did not affect performance when S's hand was returned to the starting point immediately after KR was given. Hypothesized that motor activity retroactively interfered with the effectiveness of the KR. The results of a 2nd experiment suggest that motor activity can retroactively interfere with the effectiveness of verbal information.
