The Properties of Beryllium Copper Strip as Affected by Cold Rolling and Heat Treatment

Abstract
Tension and hardness tests were performed on beryllium copper strip to determine the influence of cold rolling and precipitation hardening. Factors such as beryllium content, strip thickness, and structure were also covered. The results are considered with respect to existing specifications for beryllium copper strip. New age-hardening treatments for maximum stength and hardness are proposed. In addition, certain limitations on hardness testing are suggested.
