Abstract
A 16 yr old boy is presented with gastrointestinal symptoms of ulcerative colitis accompanied by numerous necrotic cutaneous lesions and recurrent thrombophlebitis of the leg. Thrombophlebitis is attributed to accelerated thromboplastin generation due to enhanced Factor VIII activity. Cutaneous coumarin necrosis is also suggested in differential diagnosis. Proctocolectomy is performed for treatment of primary ulcerative lesions with subsequent remission of extracolonic manifestations. Skin grafts are employed following debridement of necrotic skin tissue. This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
