Abstract
The growing activity in the area of complex distributed systems has introduced the need for simulation aids that can enhance the generation of predicted performance data for such systems. A simulation modeling and programming methodology address ing itself to fully distributed processing systems and based upon the process concept of SIMSCRIPT II.5 is presented here. The language is based upon the principles of loosely coupled nodes displaying a cooperative autonomy in their internodal relation ship. The two levels of modularity used offers flexibility and ex tensibility of the models. A modeling procedure and complete example are presented. Keywords
