Abstract

Frederick W. Taylor is considered the author of The Principles of Scientific Management. Analysis of the manuscript of an unpublished book, Industrial Management by Morris L. Cooke, along with a study of Taylor and Cooke's correspondence, reveals Taylor used much of Cooke's book to prepare the text of The Principles of Scientific Management.
