Abstract
Dry skin of the feet, a complaint of the elderly, can be effectively combated with a simple nursing procedure using foot soaks and topical mineral oil application. Thirty-one residents in Nebraska nursing homes were evaluated before and after a two-week program of foot soaks and mineral oil applications. All participants had significant improvement of dry skin of the feet with secondary softening of nails and callouses. This publication has 14 references indexed in Scilit:
