Effects of Air Ions on Trachea of Primates.

Abstract
The effects of air ions were observed on the tracheas of 3 living Cvnomolgua monkeys and on human tracheal sections removed post-mortem. Negative air ions stimulated ciliary activity in both primates, while positive ions depressed it. In the living monkeys positive ions readily induced a state of enhanced vulnerability to trauma.
