Skin Lesions as a Diagnostic Aid in Barbiturate Poisoning

Abstract
ACCIDENTAL or suicidal ingestion of hypnotic drugs often results in the admission to the hospital of patients in deep coma. Although barbiturate intoxication is the leading cause of such clinical syndromes, it is not possible to make the diagnosis on clinical grounds alone.
