Abstract
A questionnaire was completed by 255 recreational users of amyl and/or isobutyl nitrite. The typical respondent was a 30 year old male, who first used nitrites five years ago. Current use frequency was twice a week. The principal use is to intensify orgasmic experience. The majority enjoy the effects. A minority experience headache, occasional loss of erection and nasal irritation. No serious or permanent side effects were reported.Keywords
