Abstract

The

{Ti}^{49} (d, {He}^{3}) {Sc}^{48}

reaction was studied at 19.45 and 22.4 MeV, and spectroscopic factors were obtained. There are serious discrepancies between the present result and previous work. The present experiment supports a simple picture of the

{Sc}^{48}

nucleus.
