Abstract
The paper condenses experience with, and describes extensions of, less known techniques of providing an air stream with a steady and adjustable level of a gaseous impurity. Aside from those means that employ moving solid parts, the paper discusses devices using liquid pistons, micro-flow through channels, diffusion across channels and barriers, stream splitters for attenuation, and methods based on evaporation, electrolysis, chemical conversion, and irradiation. Keywords
