Abstract
As measured by lung weight a lesser degree of pulmonary edema was produced in albino rats by toxic doses of 1-nor-epinephrine than by smaller, but toxic, doses of l-epinephrine. A beta-haloalkylamine adren-ergic blocking agent, namely N-(9-fluorenyl)-N-ethyl-beta-chloroethylamine, prevented all symptoms and the development of pulmonary edema due to toxic doses of either drug. Keywords
