Abstract
The significance of a description for scattered fields, based upon entire functions is discussed, in particular the way in which object wave information is encoded by zero positions. An optical one dimensional multichannel Fourier transformer is put forward to enable one to visualise the complex plane and thus locate the zeros of the field. Keywords
