Abstract
The velocity and attenuation of ultrasonic shear waves have been investigated at temperatures above K in single-crystal KDP. An elastic Curie-Weiss law, , is obtained with an elastic Curie constant equal to 6.31× deg. The attenuation data are consistent with a cooperative relaxation time at constant stress which varies as sec.
