Abstract
A simple method for the determination of iron in the range of 0.01–1.00% in zirconium metal and its alloys is described. The method is based on the electrolytic dissolution of zirconium into an organic solvent and the subsequent measurement of iron by atomic absorption spectroscopy. The method is rapid, requiring 30 minutes for one measurement. Keywords
