Abstract

The cell walls of Trichophyton mentagrophytes were isolated in a practically pure state by means of a special pressure cell disintegrator. Examination by electron microscopy of fine structure of the walls showed that they consisted of an outer fibrillar layer and an inner amorphous matrix.
