Abstract
The base decomposition of ethyl p-nitrophenylsulfonyloxycarbamate in organic-aqueous two-phase systems in the presence of cis- or trans-4-methyl-2-pentene and quaternary ammonium or phosphonium halides afforded both stereospecific and nonstereospecific addition products of ethoxycarbonylnitrene. The electronic state of the nitrene was analyzed on the basis of Skell’s hypothesis. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
