Field desorption ‘without fields’?

Abstract
A field independent thermal desorption of ions has been suggested to occur under conditions of field desorption mass spectrometry by several authors. It is shown that these speculations are incorrect for theoretical reasons and inconsistent with experimental facts.Keywords
