Domain Freezing of KH2PO4 Single Crystal

Abstract
Effects of crystal defects on the domain freezing of KH2PO4 single crystal are investigated by measuring the complex dielectric constant at frequencies between 10 Hz and 10 MHz. Freezing temperature T F, defined as the temperature at which \varepsilone'' has its maximum, decreases for more defective samples. Dielectric dispersion observed around T F is far different from the typical relaxational type. An extremely wide distribution of the relaxation times is expected, which is quite similar to that seen in the dipole glasses.
