Abstract
The definition and derivation of differential molecular weight distribution functions are thoroughly discussed. Common errors appearing in the literature are revealed and corrected. For high performance size exclusion chromatography (HPSEC), the importance of the calibration curve and its slope is discussed, and the application to gel permeation chromatography (GPC) is illustrated with simulations and real data. Keywords
