Abstract
D-Tubocurarine, in doses of 1-2 units/kg., and thiamine HC1 (50 mg./kg. by rapid intraven. injn.) produce similar acute effects in the dog. Intocostrin (80 units/kg.) and thiamine (2000 mg./kg.) prevented the contraction of the frog''s gastrocnemius muscle when the nerve was stimulated without decreasing the contraction on direct stimulation. Keywords
