Abstract

trans-[(PEt₃)₂PdCl(CCPh)] reacts with di-methyl acetylenedicarboxylate to give an insertion product, trans-[(PEt₃)₂PdCl {C(CO₂Me)C(CO₂Me)CC-Ph}], a type important in acetylene catalytic oligomerisation processes.
