Abstract
This preliminary note records two discoveries in the Ross of Mull. Kyanite is considerably more widespread in the Moine rocks than previous investigations have indicated. Where the kyanite-gneiss enters the thermal aureole of the granite, large andalusite paramorphs are formed from kyanite. Keywords
