Abstract
Prostaglandin E1 (10––3m) was found to increase sodium and decrease potassium content of the rabbit lens in vitro.86Rb uptake and efflux studies demonstrated that both passive permeability and the cation transport mechanism were affected. This study suggests a possible relationship between uveitis-induced cataract and prosta glandin release from damaged intraocular tissuesKeywords
