Abstract
Samples of rumen contents from cattle dying from acute bloat and extracts from forages causing bloat were found to inhibit the motility of segments of the isolated rabbit intestine. This property was not altered by freezing, heating, or storing the sample. An extract of Ladino clover that was known to cause bloat inhibited eructation in a fistulated cow. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
