Abstract
The electrostatic field distribution established between two coaxial cones is determined numerically. The dispersing and focusing properties and angular aberration terms of this electrostatic velocity analysing field distribution are calculated and expressed in a general analyser equation. The properties of this new analyser are compared with those of the parallel plate and hemispherical analysers. Keywords
