Abstract
Describes the application of the optimized model potential to the calculation of structural energies, phonon spectra and liquid resistivities for several simple metals. The results encourage confidence in the ability of the model potential to give a good representation of the scattering behaviour of metal ions, although some properties depend so sensitively on the potential that perfect agreement with experiment is not achieved. Keywords
