Abstract
Von Neumann entropy production rates of the quantized kicked rotor interacting with an environment are calculated. A significant correspondence is found between the entropy contours of the classical and quantized systems. This is a quantitative tool for describing quantum-classical correspondence in the transition to chaos. Keywords
