Effect of Polyadenine: Polyuridine on Brucellosis in Conventional and Congenitally Athymic Mice

Abstract
The adjuvant poly A:U given immediately after infection with Brucella abortus markedly retarded the growth of this organism in both conventional and congenitally athymic mice. The time of administration of poly A:U was critical, and poly A:U given 2 days after brucella had no effect on the course of infection. The implications of these findings for the mechanism of action of poly A:U are discussed.
