Abstract
An account is given of the further changes in the bottom fauna of a fertilized sea loch (Loch Craiglin) from 1944 to 1947, and the results are compared with those obtained from 1942 to 1944.The bottom fauna density fell markedly during 1944, despite the addition of very large quantities of fertilizers. Unfavourable hydrographic conditions, especially low oxygen tensions, are considered to be responsible for the decrease.
