Abstract
Constitutional hepatic dysfunction is manifested by vague digestive disturbances and objective evidence of jaundice. Bilirubinemia is of the indirect type. Studies are always negative for disease of the liver and biliary passages and for hemolytic anemia. Because of the excellent prognosis of this condition, it is extremely important that a correct diagnosis be made. A case report illustrating this point is presented. Keywords
