Abstract
A clinical trial was carried out to compare the effectiveness of compressive sclerotherapy with that of the traditional operative procedures in the treatment of varicose veins. One hundred and ten patients were treated by compression sclerotherapy and 91 patients by operation. The results showed that there was no significant difference in the therapeutic value of the two procedures. Keywords
