Abstract
A method has been developed for purifying the principle in human urine causing contraction of the rat uterus. The method, based on adsorption on the cation exchange resin Amberlite IRC-50, is better suited for dealing with large quantities of urine than the method of Gomes (1955). The presence of the two active fractions described by Walaszek (1957) has been confirmed by a different method. Keywords
