Abstract
In a recent paper1 we described new syntheses of dihydrojasmone (8) and methyl dihydrojasmonate (9). Methyl-3-pentyl-4-oxocyclopentyl-1-acetate (7) is closely related to methyl dihydrojasmonate (9)1-3 both in structure and in odor and is useful in perfumery. Keywords
