Abstract
Deliberate hypotension with sodium nitroprusside was used to facilitate surgery for cerebral aneurysm in two pregnant patients, with no apparent adverse effects on the fetus. The evidence that nitroprusside is harmful to the fetus appears to arise from one animal experiment in which insufficient detail of dosage was given. Keywords
