Abstract
The authors propose to use dispersion management to reduce collision-induced timing jitter in soliton WDM transmission. The performance of dispersion-managed fibres is compared numerically to dispersion-decreasing and uniform dispersion fibres with up to eight channels, and it is shown that dispersion management can provide the best performance.Keywords
