Breast cancer visualized by mammography in patients under 35.

Abstract
Mammograms of 31 patients under 35 yr with breast carcinoma were reviewed. Twenty-eight lesions (90%) were visible and viewed with suspicion and 19 (61%) were associated with microcalcifications. This appears to be contrary to the commonly held view that the dense parenchyma normally seen in this age group often obscures malignant lesions.
