Abstract
In Apium nodiflorum two kinds of exine-held material are observed: pollenkitt and residuals of the polysaccharidc primexine matrix. The latter is forming a loose texture inbetween the tectum elements, while pollenkitt exists in spaces between bacules as well as the outer exine surface. Furthermore the existance of an exinic outer membrane is discussed. Keywords
