Abstract
A model proposed by the authors in connection with the recrystallization behaviour of thin specimens prepared from cold-rolled material and annealed in situ in a high voltage electron microscope has been criticized by Hutchinson and Ray. Some arguments to show that the mechanism proposed may still be valid in spite of their experimental findings are presented and discussed. Keywords
