Abstract
The discovery of the presence of a sterile ovary tube in a plant known both as Homeria herrei and G. spiralis led to a detailed study of the characteristics of this species. A chromosome number of n = 10 suggested that the species belonged neither to homeria or Gynandriris but was possibly derived from the genus Moraea independently, though it had characteristics of Homeria and Gynandriris. The species was assigned to a new genus as a new combination, BARNARDIELLA spiralis (N.E. Br.) Goldblatt [Helixyra spiralis].This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
