Abstract
Enemies of S. vesparum in its home rang are rare. Dimmockia incongrua and Melittobia acasta (Hymenoptera: Eulophidae), and Dibrachys vesparum and perhaps D. boarmiae (Hymenoptera: Pteromalidae), and one unidentified chalcid are the only known destroyers of S. vesparum in the Northern Hemisphere. In New Zealand, mice and a spider are the only reported field enemies, and potential enemies seem to be relatively unimportant Enemies should have little effect on numbers of S. vesparum and therefore should minimally affect its efficacy as a biological control agent of wasps.
