Abstract
Frequency of tremor in 8 tabetic patients showing varying degrees of deafferentation was studied. In the most severely deafferented patients the normal tremor rhythm was absent, but in others was present and of greater amplitude than normal, and the peak frequency was lowered by loading. The results are interpreted to indicate that integrity of the reflex arc is essential to tremor rhythm. Keywords
