Health and Human Rights in El Salvador

Abstract
To the Editor: From January 15 to 19, 1983, we traveled to Mexico City and San Salvador to investigate violations of health rights and abuses of medical neutrality in El Salvador. Our trip, organized by the New York-based Committee for Human Rights in El Salvador, was sponsored by several American health groups, including the American Public Health Association. In Mexico City we met with exiled Salvadoran health professionals, and in San Salvador with the U.S. Embassy officials, the Ministry of Health, the International Red Cross, the Green Cross, relief organizations, the Archdiocesan Legal Aid Office, the government's Human Rights Commission, . . .
