Abstract
The development of an integrated system for the storage of items and the construction and analysis of tests is described. The system is being developed both as a general facility for the Dutch Institute of Educa tional Measurement and as a support system for the use and maintenance of item banks in schools. The methodology of developing the system is described with attention to the system architecture and to the re sults of the first stage of the system development.Keywords
