THE EFFECT OF METOPIRONE ON THE URINARY EXCRETION OF TESTOSTERONE AND EPITESTOSTERONE IN NORMAL MALES TREATED WITH HCG OR CYPROTERONE AND IN HIRSUTE FEMALES

Abstract
The increased urinary excretion of testosterone and epitestosterone following the administration of HCG or Cyproterone to normal males was markedly reduced by simultaneous treatment with metopirone. In females with hirsutism of different origin the pathologically increased values of testosterone and epitestosterone in urine were also lowered considerably by 74 % and 86 %, respectively, after the administration of metopirone for a period of four days.
